L.A.W.S Movement L.A.W.S MOVEMENT (Lee Alexander West Spiritual) in honor of Lee’s spoken wishes Lee spoke to me about helping single mothers and single fathers.

L.A.W.S MOVEMENT (Lee Alexander West Spiritual) in honor of Lee’s spoken wishes:
• To financially and spiritually help single mothers and single fathers.
• Giving back to his community through works and deed by partnering up with established community based organizations.
• To engage Christian Youth through social and physical Christian centered activities. On January 31, 2012 our family’s’ home

caught on fire and our precious Lee who was only 15 ½ years old perished in that fire. In the last 31 days of Lee’s life he spoke to me every day about life and his intentions on helping others. Lee talked about giving back to his community and being a positive role model. He said, “Cook, God has given me this athletic and academic talent for a reason and if God gives it to you, than you should give back.” He knew God gave him those gifts to be a blessing to others. He was so in tune with what and how God was going to use him. I am so honored to call him my son. Throughout the last several months of Lee’s life, he faced different challenges and he decided that he was going to Trust in the Lord. This is when I knew, when I knew that he began his TRUE walk with Christ because things that would upset or irritate him before, seem to now roll off his back. He was an Amazing son. I use that word Amazing because it describes him perfectly. The word amazing means to astonish greatly, to affect with surprise or wonder. The fact that he decided to give his life to Christ and build an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ makes me the Proudest Mother in the World. That also shows me that not only was he talking the talk but he was walking the walk, and that’s Amazing. Lee was in his initial stages where you are building that relationship and you begin to see and do things differently, you are seeing the world with your “God Eyes”. Lee was talking to me about being bored because now that he was not into doing things without God, he needed to find new ways to have fun. So that’s why this foundation will work very hard with Christian Youth Ministries of every denomination in building a social connection that unites in engaging Christian based activities
So with L.A.W.S Movement we will use Lee’s spirit as an AMAZING son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, friend, student, and teammate to set the standard that he strived for, which was Excellence. I had always told Lee that if you are going to do anything, you give it your best. You know I can truly say that he gave his best to everything and everyone.

Today, I had the incredible opportunity to share my heart with the some incredible students. I spoke about overcoming obstacles and the incredible power that comes from a life-union with Jesus Christ.

You wouldn’t believe how much my life has changed since I embraced Christ. It’s been a journey filled with heartache, blessings and growth. My son, Lee, was a young man of faith who taught me so much about being prepared and living a life unashamed. He was a true inspiration, and I’m so grateful to have had him in my life.

Choosing Jesus as your guiding light is the smartest move you can make. Trusting in the Lord God will give you the strength to face anything life throws your way. As long as you stay close to Him, you’ll be solid and unstoppable.

In the last 13 years the Lee Alexander West Spiritual Movement organization has invested into 39 graduting seniors at Steubenville High School.

Each year we sponsor 3 scholarships:
• A male Student Athlete with a GPA of 3.00
• A female Student Athlete with a GPA of 3.00
• An engineering student.

Lee loved Big Red, and it’s another way for us allow his love to fill the halls.
