Thanksgiving break starts next week! Let’s fill the box for those in need in our community!!
These are some of the items needed for the “Be the light” box. You can drop off at any time on High Street in Sterlington.

Family games
Kids games
Cards
Batteries
Dry food
Canned foods (Vienna sausage & tuna especially)
Feminine products
Razors
Shave cream
Soap
Shampoo
Conditioner
Face scrub
Socks
Deodorant
Toothbrush
Toothpaste
Mouthwash
Dental floss
Laundry detergent (in small ziploc bags)
Peanut butter
Peanut butter crackers

Change of clothes male and female in a large ziploc.

**All items need to be small or broken down into small quantities to be able to fit in the boxes please.

💛 We added lights! 💛 We also included a suggestion/need box! If anyone has a specific need or suggestion for items just drop it in the lock box. With the help of the Sterlington Police Department and Mayor’s office, we will try to meet the needs of our community. Remember next week is Fall break for our children. It’s a good time to donate snacks like peanut butter, macaroni and cheese and ramen noodles. Take what you need, leave what you can. Happy Thanksgiving!! It’s a dark world! Be The Light!!💛

Be The Light is a community project based on the scripture Mathew 5:14. Jesus tells us ”you are the light of the world.” A town on a hill cannot be hidden. 15. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand for it gives light to everyone in the house. 16. In the same way let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your father in heaven.
