🌍💜 World Polio Day | October 24 💜🌍

Today on World Polio Day, the Rotary Club of Sterling proudly joins Rotarians around the world in the fight to eradicate polio. 🌎🤝

For decades, Rotary has been committed to protecting children and creating a polio-free world through vaccination, awareness, and community action. While tremendous progress has been made, our work is not finished until every child is safe from this preventable disease.

💉 End Polio Now! Every vaccine brings us one step closer to a polio-free future.

❤️ Together, we can:

* Protect children through immunization.
* Raise awareness and inspire action.
* Support Rotary’s global mission to end polio.

As members of the Rotary Club of Sterling, we believe in Service Above Self and in a future where no child has to suffer from polio.

🌍 Together, we can make polio history. Until polio is gone everywhere, it remains a threat anywhere.

💜 Rotary Club of Sterling — People of Action. United for a Polio-Free World!

Keeping Kids Warm, One Coat at a Time!

Even as the seasons change, we’re thinking ahead to making sure children in our community stay warm this winter!

The Rotary Club of Sterling is thrilled to once again do our club's Operation Warm project, helping provide warm coats to local children in Sterling. Every child deserves to feel warm, confident, and ready to take on the day! 🧤🧣

Together, we’re making a difference—one coat, one child, and one act of kindness at a time. 💙

Doing good in our local community -- Join us to help serve and make a difference today!

Did you know that 1 in 5 children in the United States faces food insecurity?

In Northern Virginia (one of the most affluent regions in the country) thousands of middle and high school students still don't know where their next meal is coming from.

That's why Food For Neighbors exists. And that's why we say it every chance we get: Hunger Is Closer Than You Think.

But so is the solution. For 10 years, we've brought our community and schools together to make a real difference. Learn how you can help at foodforneighbors.org ❤️

📚 Partnered with 10 Rotary clubs to provide books for elementary students to build classroom libraries and give every child a book to take home, building literacy in young children and supporting life-long learning starting at an early age
🎓 Awarded scholarships to three local high school seniors
🎤 Sponsored student speech, music, and essay contests
🤝 Supported the Broad Run High School Interact Club, whose students hosted food packing events, two blood drives, and numerous community service projects
🍽️ Packed meals with fellow Rotary clubs to help fight hunger
🚶 Walked in the District 7610 Walk to End Polio in Manassas
♿ Traveled to Ecuador to deliver wheelchairs to families in need

Every project was made possible by dedicated members, community partners, and supporters who believe in making a difference.
