The Rotary Club of Sterling’s scheduled park cleanup at Algonkian Regional Park this Saturday has been postponed due to forecasted rain.

The safety of our volunteers and the effectiveness of the cleanup effort are our top priorities, and expected weather conditions may make the event difficult to safely conduct.

A new date for the cleanup will be announced once it has been rescheduled. Please check back for future updates and event details.

The Rotary Club of Sterling appreciates the support of all volunteers and community members who planned to participate, and we look forward to seeing everyone at the rescheduled cleanup event.

This is a great opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping protect our local environment and preserve the natural beauty of the Potomac River.

Volunteers of all ages are welcome, and high school students can earn valuable service hours while giving back to the community. All cleanup supplies, including bags and gloves, will be provided—just bring your enthusiasm and a willingness to help!

Following the cleanup, participants are invited to stay and enjoy a complimentary lunch as a thank-you for their efforts.

Come out, make a difference, and be part of a community committed to keeping our waterways clean and healthy. We look forward to seeing you there!

This November, hundreds of American flags will fly high along Rt 7 at Bungalow Lakehouse as part of the Rotary Club of Sterling’s Flags for Heroes display.

Each flag represents a story, a tribute, a hero. ❤️
