The Rotary Club of Sterling is gearing up for Operation Warm to help our neighborhood kids stay warm when the temperatures drop. 🧥❄️

Help make a difference in our local community by:

🧥 Donating money to help provide new winter coats for children in need.
🧣 Donating new hats, scarves, and gloves to keep kids warm all season long.

Every donation helps keep a child in Sterling warm this winter.

As one Rotary year comes to a close and another begins, we're proud to look back on the impact we've made together over the past Rotary year:

💙 168 children in Sterling received warm winter coats through Operation Warm
🛎️ Rang bells for The Salvation Army to support those in need in our local area
🥫 Supported Food For Neighbors' Red Bag collections to feed children in our community
🇺🇸 Honored veterans and community heroes through our Flags for Heroes display
🌎 Helped clean the Potomac River at Algonkian Regional Park - supporting the environment and clean water where we live
📚 Partnered with 10 Rotary clubs to provide books for elementary students to build classroom libraries and give every child a book to take home, building literacy in young children and supporting life-long learning starting at an early age
🎓 Awarded scholarships to three local high school seniors
🎤 Sponsored student speech, music, and essay contests
🤝 Supported the Broad Run High School Interact Club, whose students hosted food packing events, two blood drives, and numerous community service projects
🍽️ Packed meals with fellow Rotary clubs to help fight hunger
🚶 Walked in the District 7610 Walk to End Polio in Manassas
♿ Traveled to Ecuador to deliver wheelchairs to families in need

Every project was made possible by dedicated members, community partners, and supporters who believe in making a difference.

The Rotary Club of Sterling’s scheduled park cleanup at Algonkian Regional Park this Saturday has been postponed due to forecasted rain.

The safety of our volunteers and the effectiveness of the cleanup effort are our top priorities, and expected weather conditions may make the event difficult to safely conduct.

A new date for the cleanup will be announced once it has been rescheduled. Please check back for future updates and event details.

The Rotary Club of Sterling appreciates the support of all volunteers and community members who planned to participate, and we look forward to seeing everyone at the rescheduled cleanup event.

Following the cleanup, participants are invited to stay and enjoy a complimentary lunch as a thank-you for their efforts.
