Please monitor your local media outlets as well as your NOAA Weather/Emergency Radio and your local National Weather Service for the most current and up-to-date information.*****

Weather spotters are those who have been through a formal training program, whether it is through the local NWS office, area training coordinators (generally media or EM association), the online training through the NWS and COMET program, or through spotternetwork.org. Spotters may be mobile or stationary. They may be associated with an amateur radio program, or not. Some report directly to the NWS, others through their local amateur radio nets, or emergency managers. To best know how the program is run in your area, get in contact with the Warning Coordination Meteorologist at the NWS office in your area. http://www.stormready.noaa.gov/contact.htm
