We kicked off October with an epic meeting featuring a quick review of our many upcoming events and displays, accepting our organizational bylaws, builders sharing their Shiptember creations, three presentations, and three separate set drafts!

Special thanks to our friends Kim & Shawn for their presentation on incorporating movement into MOCs, member Ralph S. for sharing his process for building boxes to transport MOCs, and our neighbors at the international dance studio for an upcoming event that the LUG may be able to take part in.

We were so excited to have a full room of over 35 people including some first timers. We always love to welcome new people to the fun! Our next meeting is in November!

Members Trevor Burroughs, James (or Jimmy to some of you), & Tanner's Bucket of Bricks made the cross country trip to BrickSlopes last weekend bringing some epic builds all the way from Northern Virginia. This was the last shows for the Land of Oz / collaboration and we were honored to be recognized by our peers again.

Last month we had the awesome opportunity to install our display in partnership with Visit Fairfax (Virginia) at Tyson’s Corner. We’re excited to officially “open” the display this week and look forward to the public engagement over the next six months.
