Pinecone, Seedpod, and Leaf Litter are here, ready for fall, and are dumber than a box of rocks. There really isn't a better way to say it.
Most kittens in the 3-4 week age range can meet or surpass the following milestones:
1) Trying to use the litterbox - ✅
2) Playing with toys - ✅
3) Spending less time sleeping and more time exploring - ✅
4) Eating literally any kind of food at all on their own - ❌
The forest floor kittens were not particularly interested in the bottle for their trapper, and unfortunately, that trend continued with their new foster. They will semi-tolerate having wet food placed directly into their mouths, but won't actually go eat any food on their own. Dr. Werden has cleared them medically, and their foster is trying every trick in the book. They just do not understand eating.
Dumb. As. Rocks. Truly. Just look at their faces.
Other than that, they're doing great! They are being fed via a tube every few hours to give them the nutrition they need until they figure out what to do. Hopefully they get with the food program in the next day or so 🩵 It's a good thing they are so cute.
