The Great Hall, Gallery and the 1835 Town Hall. The painting is complete. The Town Hall is now a reflection of years gone by. There is an elegance to this Great Hall that we have not seen in our lifetime.

The 1835 Town Hall Committee is proud to present the results of our structural, roof and Great Hall Project. Thank you for the support from the voters in Sterling and grants from the Massachusetts Cultural Facilities Fund and the Mass Office on Disability.

It has been a long and sometimes difficult journey starting back in the late 90's. The positive collaboration and persistent efforts of the Committee has not only saved this wonderful building for generations, but done so with class. Enjoy.

Insulation is done, wallboard is in place, Side coves are in place, dressing on support beams are getting installed now. We are so very close. Looking great!

Our Great Hall is coming along nicely! Making it cozy warm. Almost ready for sheet rock and dressing. Pretty exciting. It’s been a long road to get to this point. Thanks for all your continuing support.

Our new elevator lift has been inspected by the State and had passed inspection!

It's official! The Town Hall has been saved for future generations! There is more work to be done, but our most important milestone has been achieved. Thanks to everyone who has participated, voted, cheered or supported our efforts!
