WHAT A DAY.

Thank you to everyone who packed The Precinct for the Sterling/Rock Falls Jaycees Chili Cook-Off yesterday. Together we raised $1,251 for Christmas for Kids!

11 chili entries went head to head.

People's Choice Champion: Dan Huffman, with a meaty chili served best with some fresh bread
Rooster's Choice: Paul Rodriguez, with a smoked chili that had the whole room talking

Thank you to our chili contestants, Jaycees volunteers, the Roosters, and everyone who came out to taste, donate, and cheer on the Bears. A big thanks to the whole crew at The Precinct for being great hosts.

Next Sunday, October 11, our Chili Cook-Off takes over Precinct. Tasting begins at 11:30 AM, right before Bears-Packers kicks off at Noon.

And while you’re making Sunday plans, do yourself a favor and get to The Precinct for brunch today. The chicken and waffles are the real deal.

Sunday brunch at The Precinct is worth checking out. The food is excellent, especially the fried chicken, and it is available every Sunday.

We appreciate The Precinct for hosting the Sterling-Rock Falls Jaycees Chili Cook-Off on Sunday, October 11.

Come out for great food, cold drinks, Bears-Packers and a good cause. Tasting starts at 11:30am, and all event proceeds support Christmas for Kids.

What a night for Sterling and Rock Falls.

Last night’s fireworks display was one of the best our community has seen in a very long time, and the turnout on both sides of the Rock River made it even more special. Thank you to everyone who came out, parked with us, donated, volunteered, purchased concessions, and helped make the evening feel like a true community celebration.

A special thank you to all of our sponsors — both returning and new — who helped make this year’s display possible as we celebrate America’s 250th.

We are also incredibly grateful to everyone who donated toward the fireworks display. Your support helps the Sterling-Rock Falls Jaycees continue bringing events like this to life for our community.
