Play All Day at Claude Moore Recreation and Community Center!

Join us on Sunday, June 21 as we celebrate the longest day of the year (summer solstice) with FREE admission all day! Enjoy all that our center has to offer including swimming, basketball, pickleball, climbing wall, fitness activities, special games, crafts, and more! ☀

Special day activities:
▪️Play All Day Bingo - play bingo by participating in different activities at our center to win prizes! Get your bingo card and prizes at our front desk. Great for families to do together!
▪️LEGO displays and free play - The local LEGO User group will be here from 1:00-4:00pm in the hallway with their amazing displays and loose LEGOs to build. LEGO fans will not want to miss!
▪️Vortex Duck Races - this popular activity from last year is back! Race your duck in our leisure pool - rubber ducks will be provided. Races held at 12:45pm, 2:45pm, and 4:45pm. Meet on the pool deck by the race start time. Small trophies for top finishers.
▪️Creative Space - self-guided crafts will be available in our Creative Space (room 9) where you can make a card for Dad or someone special and/or create American flag to celebrate the 250th Anniversary of America.
▪️Game Area - have fun playing big Connect four, Jenga, hula hoops, and more!

Join us during our operational hours, 8:00am - 8:00pm. The climbing wall is open from 11:00am - 7:00pm. Play all day with us!

Play All Day VA is a statewide initiative with the Virginia Recreation and Park Society to highlight Parks and Recreation through play. The mission is to provide free programs and services for the community from sunrise to sunset.

Claude Moore Recreation and Community Center is looking for lifeguards and Head Lifeguards! To apply for these positions. you must meet age requirements, be comfortable swimming in all depths of water, and be prepared to create a fun and safe environment. Additional training and certification may be provided.

We could not be prouder of our graduating preschoolers this year! It was a wonderful year full of learning, fun activities and crafts, reading books, and making friends! 🎓

We will so dearly miss our rising Kindergarteners but know that "adventure awaits" their futures ahead. We can't wait to welcome back our returning preschoolers in September!

Meet Anthony!

Anthony just joined the Claude Moore Recreation & Community Center team two weeks ago as the Fitness Programmer. His favorite part of the job is making a difference in the overall health and fitness of the community.

During his free time, Anthony likes to work out, read, and go for walks with his dog.
Fun fact: He has been able to do pullups since the age of 12!

Reminder: Please note our schedule changes for Monday, May 25 in observance of Memorial Day. Group exercise classes have been cancelled for this day.

In observance of the Memorial Day holiday, Loudoun County Parks, Recreation and Community Services announces changes in upcoming operating hours.

The PRCS administrative office, park administrative offices, senior centers, adult day centers, community centers, the Round Hill Aquatic Center, and the Franklin Park Arts Center will be closed on Monday, May 25, 2026.

· Parks and Nature/Visitor Centers

Park grounds, including trails, gardens, playgrounds, off-leash areas, skate parks, courts, and fields, are open to the public from dawn to dusk.

The Banshee Reeks Nature Preserve Visitor Center is open from 8:00am to 8:00pm, the Claude Moore Park Visitor Center is open from 9:00am to 5:00pm, and the Hal and Berni Hanson Regional Park Nature Center is open from 10:00am to 4:00pm on Memorial Day.

· PRCS Recreation Centers and Pools

The Ashburn Recreation & Community Center, Claude Moore Recreation & Community Center and Dulles South Recreation and Community Center are open from 11:00am to 6:00pm (no Kid Kare, Child Care, or Preschool).

Updated: The Franklin Regional Park pool and the Lovettsville Community Center pool are closed due to the weather.
