✏Want to learn how comics, graphic novels, and manga are made?

Learn valuable lessons about comic-making, storytelling, and character design and build your skills with drawing exercises, all while browsing your favorite comics and graphic novels. Club members will have time each meeting to work on their own comics projects with the help of tips and tricks from an instructor.

In observance of the Labor Day holiday, Loudoun County Parks, Recreation and Community Services administrative offices, senior and adult day centers, all community centers, the Round Hill Aquatic Center, and the Franklin Park Arts Center will be closed on Monday, September 7, 2026.

Park offices are closed, but park visitors and nature centers are open normal hours. Park grounds, including trails, gardens, playgrounds, off-leash areas, skate parks, courts, and fields, are open to the public from dawn to dusk and provide a wonderful opportunity for families and friends to spend time together.

The Ashburn Recreation & Community Center, the Claude Moore Recreation & Community Center, and the Dulles South Recreation and Community Center will be open from 11:00am to 6:00pm on September 7. There will be no Kid Kare, childcare, or preschool. The competition and leisure pools will be open from 11:00am to 5:45pm.

The Lovettsville Community Center Pool and the Franklin Regional Park Pool and Splash Pad will be open on Labor Day and will close for the season on the evening of September 7. Both outdoor pools will be open from 11:00am to 6:30pm. For more information on pool hours and admission fees, please visit loudoun.gov/PRCSPools.

The splash pad at the Ashburn Recreation & Community Center will be open from 11:00am to 6:00pm. The Hal and Berni Hanson Regional Park splash pad will be open from 10:00am to 7:00pm on Labor Day.
