Sterling Lions Club The Sterling Lions Club was chartered on May 13, 1964 as the Dulles Lions Club.

The Sterling Lions are a group of men and women who volunteer their time to humanitarian causes in the Eastern area of Loudoun County, Virginia and the world community. As the community of Sterling Park grew up around the old Sterling whistle stop on the Washington and Old Dominion Railroad, the members, most of whom were Sterling residents, and/or working at Dulles International Airport decided to change the name to the Sterling Lions Club.

Just touching base with the details of our next Sterling Lions Club meeting. We will be meeting on Thursday, 13 August 2026 at 7:00 PM in the special events room of the Bungalow Lakehouse Restaurant located at: 46116 Lake Center Plaza, Sterling, VA. 20165. Our meetings last between 60 to 90 minutes with optional dinner service. Guests are always welcome. Come out to meet our member volunteers and to find out how you can get involved. August 2026 Every August, Child Vision Awareness Month reminds us of the importance of healthy eyes for our children.
It highlights the importance of regular eye exams and early detection of vision problems. Our children’s bright future depends on clear eyesight, and this month is dedicated to making sure that all kids can see their best.
Children’s vision issues often go unnoticed, making early screenings crucial. Catching problems early can prevent serious issues from impacting learning and development.
The Sterling Lions Club offers FREE Early Childhood Vision screenings at daycare centers, nursery schools, kindergartens, and health fairs. The service is offered by our Lions KidSight USA volunteers. We can digitally screen children from age 5 months up, using our Spot and PlusoptiX screening devices.
