Follow the Yellow Brick Road… straight to auditions! We are looking for a small cast of talented vocal actors to bring L. Frank Baum’s magical world to life in a classic radio play format, complete with character voices, live sound effects, and old-time broadcast charm.

Perfect for new performers and seasoned actors alike — this format focuses on vocal expression, fun character work, and the magic of storytelling. "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz" will be directed by Nate Leonard and performed as a dessert theatre for one weekend only February 20-22, 2026.

Open auditions will be held December 7th and 8th. All those auditioning must be 18 years of age or older. Auditioners will be asked to do cold readings from the script, no other preparations are necessary. Please sign up for an audition slot via the link:

Call for Directors/Show Proposals for September 2026

The curtain may have just closed on our last production, but we’re already dreaming of what’s next! ✨ We’re now accepting show proposals and seeking directors to help bring the next story to life. Got a vision for the Sterling stage? We’d love to hear it! 🙌 Our only stipulations are it must be a family-friendly musical with a multi-generational cast, and one we have not produced previously.

Please provide the following information in your proposal:
• Your Name
• Email Address
• Phone Number
• Title of proposed production
• Company who holds the theatrical rights
• Brief synopsis of the production
• Cast size and requirements
• Who else would be involved (any other creative or production team members who have committed and are putting in the proposal with you) for example Music Director, Choreographer, Producer, Stage Manager, Costumer
• Any other information you want us to know

Please submit a resume along with your completed proposal application. Supplemental materials (scripts, librettos or musical CDs) are welcome, but not required.

All proposals must be submitted and received by October 10, 2025. Interviews to follow. Rehearsals are typically 2-3 nights beginning in late June. with performance dates mid-September 2026.
