SAE Spotlight: Clay Hadeen Edition

Clay Hadeen’s SAE centers around his work at H&M Feeders, where he has gained valuable hands-on experience in the cattle feeding industry. From cleaning pens and feeding livestock to assisting with cattle processing, Clay is always willing to tackle whatever job needs to be done. His strong work ethic, dedication, and commitment to learning have paid off, helping him earn the prestigious Colorado FFA State Degree this summer. Clay’s success is a testament to the hard work and responsibility he demonstrates every day at H&M Feeders.

We’re proud of you, Clay! Keep up the good work.

Drum roll please… Trotter Thomas is up!

Trotter Thomas’s main SAE is raising and showing cattle. Trotter has been showing steers and heifers locally and nationally for many years and found great success while doing so. You can catch him exhibiting his livestock at the Logan County Fair later this summer. He’s also a very talented welder and loves building useful projects that make life on the farm/ranch easier. He’s currently building a flatbed for his side-by-side!

Great job, Trotter! Keep up the hard work.

Next up: Bode Basgall

Bode Basgall’s SAE is growing tomatoes, peppers, cantaloupes, watermelons, and sweet corn to sell locally at the farmer’s market. The tomatoes are his favorite part of his SAE; he has about 150 tomato plants, ranging in variety. He started this SAE last year, but has always had a passion for gardening and working with his hands out in the field. He enjoys sharing his knowledge and passion for gardening with others by helping plant and maintain gardens at Early Learners Preschool. This upcoming year, Bode will serve as the Sterling FFA Chapter Reporter! Good job, Bode!

You guessed it! Another SAE spotlight! This time, we’re highlighting Graison Bell.

Graison Bell’s SAE project centers around exhibiting market goats at the Logan County Fair. This year, he will be showing two goats. Over the past eight years, Graison has gained valuable knowledge and skills through his goat project. When he’s not caring for his animals, you can find him out on the golf course enjoying a round of golf.

Keep up the great work, Graison!

Willow Martinez is our next SAE Spotlight!

Willow Martinez’s SAE focuses on raising and exhibiting show cattle. She currently has a market heifer and two market steers. Willow spends her days washing, feeding, and working with her cattle. Her cattle follow a strict nutrition and management program to stay healthy and competitive. Through this project, she’s developed several skills and found a true passion for the cattle industry. She shows locally and nationally, but we’re most excited to watch her at the Logan County Fair this year! Great job, Willow!

Next up, Emerson Ross!

Emerson Ross’s SAE project focuses on exhibiting sheep, and she is currently hard at work getting her lambs ready for the Logan County Fair. With three years of experience showing sheep, Emerson continues to build her skills and knowledge through her project. To help prepare for fair season, she plans to attend several jackpot shows this summer. When she’s not working with her lambs, Emerson stays busy playing softball and competing in track.

Great work, Emerson! We’re excited to see you and your lambs in the show ring at the Logan County Fair!
