Good morning Sterling community. After last nights storms. The Comanche County Emergency management would like to know if there was any structural damage done in our area from the storms so they can report it up.

The Sterling Volunteer Fire Dept. Will be doing a fire works display on the 4th of July at Ike Willam’s park and we will also have a parade at 6pm and we are look for someone to come play some live music for a few hours until we start the fire works display. If anyone would like to help donate for the fireworks please contact city hall or my self .

The Sterling Volunteer Fire Dept. Has gotten our raffle tickets and the raffle will take place in Oct 3 2026 the day of our dinner. The raffle is 1/2 beef and 1/2 pig and a chest freezer for 1st place and 2nd place is 1/2 beef and 1/2 pig. The tickets are 20$ a ticket so if you like some please get in contact with the fire fighters and we will get you squared away.

The Sterling Volunteer Fire Department is thrilled to celebrate our Assistant Chief, Jeremy Wilfong, for receiving an award yesterday at the Lawton Veterans Center! Jeremy was recognized as Firefighter of the Year for his outstanding service at Fort Sill. Out of all the firefighters nominated, he truly stood out. This incredible honor reflects his dedication, skill, and commitment to the community. We are proud to have such an amazing asset on our team!

The Sterling fire department has decided to push our annual fundraiser back until October this year we’ll be posting what we will raffling off soon and we will begin to sell tickets.

Well if you have not heard the Sterling Volunteer Fire Dept.is playing the Sterling Police department in a basketball game to raise money for the Lady’s town and country club. So if you live in Sterling or around please come out and support us and giving back to our community. The game is at the Sterling high school basketball gym. The doors open up at 6 pm and game starts at 7. I will be fun so pls come help support the lady’s that do so much for our community. The game is on Saturday the 28 Feb 2026
