Myself and the Sterling Volunteer Fire Department like to thank all of the fire departments that came out to sterling and helped with the fire. Elgin Fire Department, Fletcher Fire department, Coxs Store fire department, Wichita Estate, Bia, Porter hill fire department, Edgewater fire department, also would like to thank Kirk’s EMS and Emergency Management team.

The Sterling Volunteer Fire Dept. Would like to pass along that we are in county wide burn band for 14 days. so please be careful with what you are doing out side while working and if something should happen please call 911 immediately. I will post the order from the county in the picture.

The Sterling Volunteer Fire Dept. Raffle is getting closer and closer and that day is coming up in Oct 3 the day of our dinner. We still have several tickets left if anyone would like one. They are 20$ and the raffle consists of 1st place get a freezer and 1/2 of beef and 1/2 of pork. 2nd place gets 1/2 of beef and 1/2 of pork. It is a local own animals that was donated and they are show animals so you know they will be great and tasty to eat. If your interested pls contact my self or anyone on the fire department or you can go to city hall.

We would like to wish everyone a safe and happy Independence Day!

We hope to see you at today's festivities:

🇺🇸 Parade: 6:00 PM (Line-up begins at 5:30 PM)

📍 After the parade: Join us at Ike Williams Park for hamburgers, hot dogs, snow cones, live music, and fun for the whole family. Come enjoy an evening of great food, music, and community!

🎇 Fireworks: At dark.

Don’t forget to bring a chair.

We look forward to celebrating with everyone.

Join us this Fourth of July at Ike Williams Park after the parade for an afternoon and evening of fun!
We’ll have:�🎈 Bouncy houses�🍧 A snow cone truck�🎶 Live music by David Derico
�🌭 Hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, soda, and water available for donations
We’ll also be hosting a fundraiser bingo to benefit Michael and Skyler Watson for there IVF treatment.

Bring your family, enjoy great food and entertainment, and stay to watch the fireworks show after dark!

Let’s come together as the Sterling community to celebrate, support a great cause, and make lasting memories. We hope to see everyone there!

Good morning Sterling community. After last nights storms. The Comanche County Emergency management would like to know if there was any structural damage done in our area from the storms so they can report it up.

The Sterling Volunteer Fire Dept. Will be doing a fire works display on the 4th of July at Ike Willam’s park and we will also have a parade at 6pm and we are look for someone to come play some live music for a few hours until we start the fire works display. If anyone would like to help donate for the fireworks please contact city hall or my self .

The Sterling Volunteer Fire Dept. Has gotten our raffle tickets and the raffle will take place in Oct 3 2026 the day of our dinner. The raffle is 1/2 beef and 1/2 pig and a chest freezer for 1st place and 2nd place is 1/2 beef and 1/2 pig. The tickets are 20$ a ticket so if you like some please get in contact with the fire fighters and we will get you squared away.

The Sterling Volunteer Fire Department is thrilled to celebrate our Assistant Chief, Jeremy Wilfong, for receiving an award yesterday at the Lawton Veterans Center! Jeremy was recognized as Firefighter of the Year for his outstanding service at Fort Sill. Out of all the firefighters nominated, he truly stood out. This incredible honor reflects his dedication, skill, and commitment to the community. We are proud to have such an amazing asset on our team!
