AOTY St Clair Walleye Outing

This event will be held on May 30, 2026 at the:
St. Clair Boat Harbor, 902 S. 2nd. Street, St. Clair, Mi. 48079
Phone: 810-329-4125 stclairboatharbor.com

They do rent slips if anyone would like to overnight.
To enter, simply TEXT me, Rob Pinskey at (810)543-3191 by 4:00 pm. Thursday May 28, 2026 so I can finalize the food for the lunch.
For boat entry: Include the captain’s name and phone number first, followed by all other anglers' names (first and last) on board.

Entry fees are $15.00 per person, which includes the lunch plus Big fish pool is an additional $10.00 .
You may opt out of big fish if you choose but everyone on board will either be IN or opt OUT.
Be sure to let me know in your entry text if you are opting out or you will be considered IN and required to pay the big fish pool fee.
If you are fishing from shore, just text your name and say that you want to participate.
The entry fees will be the same.
The ramp does get backed up and you may be waiting a while to pull your boat out.
Have somebody get your fish cooler in line as soon as you can!

Weigh-in and picnic will be at the second Pavilion S. of the marina office (same place as past years events).

This is an individual event for AOTY (Angler Of The Year).
YOU MUST KEEP EACH PERSON'S FISH SEPERATE AND IDENTIFIED.

We will strictly follow the DNR 15" minimum size rule.
The limit is 6 fish per person, but we will count your best 5 fish by weight plus 5 points per fish.
Any ties will be determined by length of fish.

Boundaries are the St. Clair River only from the Blue Water Bridge in Port Huron down to where the
North, Middle and South Channels enter Lake St. Clair.
Canadian waters are included. Of course, be sure to have a Canadian License and follow all Canadian fishing regulations.

You can start fishing at 6:00 am. You must pull lines by 12:00 noon.
COOLERS MUST BE IN LINE BY 1:30 pm. LUNCH WILL BE SERVED APPROX. AT 1:00pm
BE SURE TO ALLOW ENOUGH TIME OR MAKE ARRANGEMENTS TO DROP OFF YOUR COOLERS AND HAVE THEM IN LINE ON TIME.

Fortunately, the port captains we have are up to the task and we are glad to have them.
But members can make their job easier. Register as early as possible for any event. The
port captain has a budget and needs to know how many people need to be fed. Arrangements
must be made with the food vendor in advance. If you must cancel, do it
as early as possible. Don’t make the port captain seek you out for payment. If you
have registered, attend the weigh-in. Catch or no catch. At the least, communicate
with the port captain to settle registration/big-fish payment. In the event you can not
attend the weigh-in, the event registration fee must still be paid. This lets the port captain
know everyone is accounted for and makes the job easier.

DEAR FELLOW DAS MEMBER

Thank you for doing your part!

Thank you for your e-mails and calls to your State Representative, the DAS donation to the Michigan Angler Consortium
and us showing up in Lansing for the Hearing on HB5801 & HB5802.

The impact from all of this has caused 8 of the sponsors of these bills, 2 of them Major, to withdraw their support for them.
The bills appear to be headed towards a slow death.

Just know that you can make a difference with your actions. We will keep you updated on the bills status.
Your support is truly appreciated! Thank you for your continued commitment!
