We recently made a donation to a family with an infant who has spent much of their life in the hospital after contracting bacterial meningitis at 3 weeks old. This has lead to several surgeries and they now suffer from severe reflux and frequent vomiting. The infant’s hospice nurse requested a swing to keep the baby upright after feedings to help with the reflux. We were happy to donate this. We remember having to keep Luciana upright during feedings. We hope this makes life even a little easier. 🩷👼🏼

Today we made a donation to help a local family with vital car repairs. They have an 8 month old son who has been diagnosed with Krabbe Disease. Children with this typically have a life expectancy of one year (We know all about odds like that). Slade’s mom stays home to care for him and dad works. Dad just found out that his truck needs a lot of expensive work and is unable to be driven which means he is unable to work. We were contacted to help them and did not hesitate. We know how it feels to have everything falling down on you at once when you just want to enjoy your child’s life as best you can. We were happy to donate to them and help with their repairs. Mom shared these photos of adorable Slade and their family as well as these kind words to us.

We recently had a request for assistance from a local family trying to raise funds for modifications to their wheelchair van for their son, Jaxon. We were blessed to be able to donate $1,000 toward those modifications. We remember having to pay for modifications for our own van for Luciana. Jaxon is an incredible boy and his mom sent over this so everyone could learn more about him! 🧑🏼‍🦽🚙💙

“I definitely want to say thank you to Luciana's Legacy for helping us in such an unpredictable situation. Having to rely on so many different things to keep our daughter safe and healthy is scary, and when one of the basic things, like electricity, is unreliable and so important it's terrifying. Having this generator takes one huge worry off my plate. This kind of generosity blows my mind because this is not something I would have dreamed would have been able to be given to us. We need the stability of the generator not only in the summer months but also in the winter time as well. Our family and I just want to give the biggest thank you to Luciana's Legacy for once again giving me peace of mind in a life that is already so unpredictable. You all are angels and I am so thankful!” 🩷👼🏼

This week we were able to make three very meaningful donations to local families who have children with medical needs.

We were able to provide some much needed items for a family caring for their 9 year old daughter with DIPG, an aggressive brain cancer. Some of these items are a fan and new pillows that will help keep her comfortable, some items that will ease the parents daily chores, and some outside toys for family fun for all of them to enjoy together.

We were also able to donate a portable AC unit and fan to a local family with a teenager who has a terminal condition that causes seizures, cerebral palsy and severe developmental delays. The excessive heat we have been dealing with has caused unnecessary stress and discomfort as well as an increase in seizures. The family does not have air conditioning so the portable unit and fan will ease some stress and worry and provide comfort.

We were able to provide a family caring for their 10 year old daughter on a ventilator and oxygen with a portable home generator. During the recent excessive heat and storms, their home lost power several times, forcing the parent to pack up and relocate their daughter to a place with electricity and air conditioning.
This gift brings peace of mind to her parents knowing she will never be without the electricity and oxygen that she needs every day.

We love being able to bless families who need it in Luciana’s honor. Thank you for the continued support so we are able to keep doing this for families. 💜👼🏼💫

With the summer being a little slower with assistance requests, we wanted to make some donations to two important organizations that impacted Luciana’s life. Today we were able to donate to both Give Kids The World Village and Make-A-Wish Michigan. We hope our donations help make many children’s wishes come true. 💜💫✨👼🏼

Had a great dinner thanking our amazing photographer for all his time and effort over the years. Thank you to everyone who participated in our fundraiser photos with Reese Oliver this year. Thanks to all of you we were able to raise just over $2,000! We are so thrilled to be able to help deserving families thanks to you! 💓👼🏼👏🏼
