This morning, our newest CASA Advocates were sworn in and officially began their journey to make a difference in the lives of children in foster care. ❤️
They are ready to show up, speak up, and stand up for children who need a champion in their corner. We are so grateful for their commitment, compassion, and heart.

Welcome to the CASA family—we can’t wait to see the impact you make! 💙

Children in foster care often experience trauma, instability, and loss that impact every part of their lives — from how they learn and build relationships to how they respond to the world around them.

Without consistent support, these experiences can have lasting effects. But when children feel safe and supported, healing becomes possible- and futures can change.

This is why our work at CASA for the Cross Timbers Area matters. ❤️

School is back in session! 🏫

As students across Texas head back to the classrooms, many reconnect with teachers, counselors, classmates, and the routines that help them thrive. For children in foster care, however, the start of the school year can bring uncertainty. From adjusting to a new school or community to overcoming educational disruptions caused by placement changes, they often begin the year navigating challenges that make it harder to succeed. A stable, trusted adult can make all the difference during this critical transition.

We’ve got a reel-y good dinner plan for Wednesday night!

Back to School Night is busy enough—let Erath County United Way do the cooking!

Grab dinner at their Annual Fish Fry and support an organization that does so much for CASA CTA and so many others across Erath County.

Good food. Great cause. No dishes.
Sounds like a fin-tastic plan to us!

And as you can see… we’ve already got our tickets!

Have you heard of a surrogate parent before?đź‘€

Surrogate parents represent children with disabilities in special education when they don't have parents to make educational decisions for them. They complete state required training to know how to properly advocate for a child with a disability and their best interest. CASA volunteers can complete free online training programs to become surrogate parents for children in foster care and better advocate for their needs inside and out of the courtroom.❤️‍🩹

While caseworkers and foster placements may change frequently, a CASA volunteer typically stays with a single case until it is closed — serving as a trusted, constant adult figure for the child.

Please visit our website: casacta.org or call 254-965-6610 to learn more about how YOU can be a voice for these children. ❤️

In spirit of National Nonprofit Day this month, we’re celebrating the special difference the CASA network makes in the lives of children and families in Texas.💙

We’re grateful that local CASA programs provide children in foster care volunteer advocates who support them and their family as they navigate a complex and rapidly changing child welfare system. For CASA staff and volunteers, this work isn’t just a job — it’s a calling! Together, we work to give children and youth in foster care a consistent voice during a time filled with uncertainty.
