Got dull knives in your kitchen drawer? Don't replace them — bring them to Floren!

Floren is one of our amazing volunteer fixers for the upcoming Stephentown Repair Cafe, and he'll be offering free knife sharpening to get your blades slicing like new again.

A quick note on knives:
✅ Limit of 3 knives per person
✅ Regular blades only (no serrated knives, please!)

Come meet Florencio and the rest of our talented neighbors on Saturday, June 27 from 10am to 2pm at the Stephentown Memorial Library. We'll be fixing lamps, clocks, clothing, jewelry, and more — plus hosting a Community Potluck!

Stephentown Repair Cafe is almost here!

Don't toss it — fix it! Join us on Saturday, June 27 from 10am to 2pm at the Stephentown Memorial Library for a free community repair event. Bring your broken items, and our skilled volunteer neighbors will help you fix them at no cost!

We're also hosting a Community Potluck during the event! Bring breakfast, lunch, or brunch to share — think berries and whipped cream, muffins, coffee, and more. Even if you don't have anything to fix, come grab a bite and meet your neighbors!

What we fix:

• Clocks & Lamps

• Small Wood Furniture

• Clothing & Textile Mending

• Jewelry

• Electrical & Mechanical items

• Knife Sharpening

A few important rules for the day:
✅ First come, first served
✅ Limit of 2 items per person
✅ Knives: up to 3 per person (regular blades only, no serrated knives)
✅ Textiles must be clean

Join us for an open, informal community discussion — Navigating the Emotional Response to the Climate Crisis — where we will share our feelings, listen to one another, and explore ways to feel empowered to take action.

This workshop will be led by Anna Hurst, a trained facilitator, in a safe and supportive space for honest conversation.

We are getting close to the next Repair Cafe!

Got a toaster that won't toast? A sweater that needs a patch? Don't throw them away — bring them to the Hoags Corners Volunteer Fire Company in East Nassau on Saturday, May 30 between 10am and 2pm. Our volunteer fixers are ready to help you repair your items for free.

It's a great way to keep usable items out of the landfill and connect with your neighbors. No appointment needed — just show up!

Bring your broken lamps, wobbly chairs, torn clothing, and stopped clocks. Our skilled volunteer fixers will work with you to bring your beloved items back to life — completely free of charge.

🔧 It's almost time for our first Repair Cafe of the season!

Join us on Saturday, April 11 at Austerlitz Town Hall (816 NY-203, Spencertown) from 10 am – 2 pm for a free community repair event — and this month we have a special focus on textile & clothing repair!

Skilled sewers, darners, knitters, and textile workers will be on hand alongside our full roster of volunteer fixers. Whether it's a torn seam, a broken lamp, a wobbly bicycle, or a lawn mower that won't start — bring it in and we'll work on it together, at no cost.

A few things to know:
📌 Limit of 2 items per person
👕 Clothing & textiles must be clean
✅ Free & open to all — no appointment needed
