Please consider joining us! We need help. That is an understatement really, so please consider. If this isn't the way you want to train, reach out! We have other options.

Lets talk about volunteering with SVAS!

Most of us do not have prior medical training. Teachers, bankers, farmers, retirees, stay at home parents, we're just community members who want to help. If we can do it, anyone can do it.

Somehow we fall into specialities on the crew. Some prefer to drive. Some work well with the elderly, or children. Some can take charge during a late night bar fight. Not exactly sure how it happens, but you'll find your niche on our crew.

Maybe you want to help with maintenance, stocking the rig, or organizing our supplies. You'll be surprised at where you find your comfort areas.

If anything interests you message us or talk to any member. We need you!

This 2026 EMS Week, we celebrate our volunteers of Stephen Volunteer Ambulance Service who answer the call out of commitment—not obligation. Your time, sacrifice, and dedication keep communities safe and cared for.

Thank you for serving with heart. šŸ’™šŸš‘

Strength isn’t just physical—it’s emotional. EMS professionals carry stories, moments, and memories that shape who they are. This week, we honor your resilience and heart.

EMS is often the first face of help on someone’s worst day. Your presence brings hope, reassurance, and lifesaving care. Thank you for being there when it matters most.

When the call comes in, excuses don’t matter—people do. EMS professionals bring skill, focus, and compassion into unpredictable moments, making a difference when time counts.

Happy EMS Week to the ones who give and give and give.

The ones who show up for everyone else’s worst day, then go home carrying pieces of it nobody else will ever see.

The ones who miss birthdays.
Holidays.
Ball games.
Church mornings.
Dinner at the table.
Bedtime routines.
Moments they’ll never get back.

The ones who answer the call anyway.

Even when there’s death in their own family.
Even when their marriage is falling apart.
Even when they’re sick.
Exhausted.
Anxious.
Depressed.
Running on fumes.

They still clock in.
They still suit up.
They still kneel beside strangers.
They still fight for lives that are not their own.

EMS is more than lights, sirens, and uniforms.

It is sacrifice.
It is missed moments.
It is quiet trauma.
It is loving people enough to show up when most of the world is asleep.

So this week, we honor the ones who don’t always get thanked.

The ones who carry the weight.
The ones who keep going.
The ones who serve with tired hands and heavy hearts.

Happy EMS Week.

You are seen.
You are needed.
And what you do matters more than you know.
