TrueWater, International

The goal of TrueWater.org is to address the issues surrounding the need for clean drinking water with ceramic technology applied for the manufacture of point of use water filters. Community involvement is key and necessary to sustainability. Throughout the process we are working with people from the immediate community to provide jobs and education. The methods we are using for manufacturing ceramic water filters (Household Water Treatment Systems – HWTS) have been in use around the world over the last several years. Each step of the process is focused on environmentally sustainable methods based on the skills and local resources of any given community.

In most cases, the necessary elements to establish workable fabrication facilities of ceramic water filters are available within or near the area or region where we hope to work. By educating people and developing processes and using resources from within a community, we hope to insure a sustainable model. We create a solution that can be supported locally because it is fabricated and distributed within a local village, town or community. With our continued research, accessibility and involvement, we provide continued support and improvement to the function and on-going development of the projects.

This is awesome!!
The completion of this kiln is the result of hard work by men in the Dominican Republic working for the benefit of their community, and the contributions of many people here in the U.S. The goal of TrueWater as always is to develop relationship, encourage and empower the talents and gifted people of the community. The completion of this kiln is just one of many steps necessary to enable TrueWater to address the need for clean drinking water in the Dominican Republic. We have a lot more work to do as well as equipment to purchase. If you want to be a part of this effort that will employ men and women, as this project did, and effect hundreds of lives by providing the basic need of safe drinking water, please contact me. You can message me here on Facebook or contact us through TrueWater.org.
