We are incredibly proud of all our young men this past weekend. They earned the highest annual award in the Sandhills District for the best troop. It takes the highest scores overall in scout skills, service and scout spirit. Mr. Palush and I would like to thank all of our registered adults, we couldn’t do this without all your help.

What are your kids doing over their holiday break? Troop 701B is always full of fun. We ice skated last week, Aviation Merit Badge today, CPR tomorrow and ending our week at Ft. Fisher to complete the Oceanography Merit Badge. January is just as busy with some of our boys attending National Youth Leadership Training, an Eagle Scout project, Wilderness First Aid, a ski trip and we are hoping to squeeze in a merit badge college day!

Squeezing out the last bit of summer fun before school starts. We had a full week: scuba class, Charlotte Whitewater Center, small boat sailing, kayaking, pool day for scuba and service hours at the food bank. We are taking a few days for family and then continuing scuba classes later this week and we have a two day Eagle project next weekend.
