We are definitely feeling overwhelmed by the recognition at Camp Bowers. We are an out of council unit that frequents this camp due to our close proximity to it. One of our favorite places.

We are currently out on our third and fourth summer camps of the season. We couldn’t do this without our dedicated Scoutmaster, Assistant Scoutmaster and committee members who use their valuable vacation time to make our programming possible. Help me thank them!

I was going to post some pictures from our kayaking merit badge last week but I ran across this gem from September 2020. It’s crazy the younger scouts in this photo are seventeen. There are six Eagle Scouts, three pending Eagles waiting on board of reviews and one who needs to do his project. One is engaged to be married, one in college, two are first responders, five recently graduated from high school another works at Palmico Seabas…….

I was looking around in Scoutbook Plus reports tonight and was surprised by some of our numbers. Since 2011 our troop has performed 5,161 hours of community service, hiked 4,581 miles and camped 3,904 nights!

They are headed home tonight from an awesome week on the water!
