๐บ๐ธ American Legion Post 115 Honor Guard โ D-Day Remembrance ๐บ๐ธ
Today, June 6, we pause to remember the brave men who stormed the beaches of Normandy during the D-Day invasion in 1944. Their courage, sacrifice, and unwavering determination helped secure freedom for future generations and changed the course of history.
More than 160,000 Allied troops took part in the largest amphibious invasion in military history, facing impossible odds as they fought to liberate Europe from tyranny. Many never made it home, giving their lives in service to something greater than themselves.
As members of the American Legion Post 115 Honor Guard, we honor the heroes of D-Day and all those who have worn our nationโs uniform. Their legacy reminds us that freedom is never free and that the sacrifices of our veterans must never be forgotten.
Today, we encourage everyone to take a moment to reflect on the courage of the Greatest Generation and to remember those who gave everything on the shores of Normandy.
โLet us never forget that liberty was purchased with sacrifice.โ
๐บ๐ธ We remember. We honor. We salute. ๐บ๐ธ
