In Loving Memory of Jan Theodore

We were heartbroken to learn the passing of Jan Theodore, our former president of the Steamboat Tennis Association, and someone whose impact on our tennis community cannot be overstated.

Jan gave so much of herself to the STA. Her leadership, energy, and commitment helped shape the association and provided a foundation for many of the programs and opportunities that the kids in our community continue to enjoy today. She was not simply involved, she was a driving force, always working to move things forward and make tennis, and more importantly real life skills, more welcoming, organized, and enjoyable for the kids.

Those who knew Jan will remember her passion for life, her generosity with her time, and her genuine desire to see the Steamboat tennis community thrive. Much of what exists today carries a piece of her vision and dedication.

Her loss will be deeply felt by all of us who had the privilege of knowing her and working alongside her. We are incredibly grateful for everything she gave to the STA and to the many people whose lives she touched.

Our thoughts are with Jan’s family and friends during this difficult time. Her legacy will live on through the community she helped build, and she will be greatly missed.

Another fantastic weekend of great tennis, sportsmanship, and community. Thank you to everyone who played, volunteered, donated, and cheered us on. Your support helps make another amazing year of tennis for our local youth possible.

A special thank you to Director of Tennis Jason Scicchitano, Coach Jessica Powell, and the STA Board for all the hard work that made this event a success.
