(“HAB”), is a non-profit organization formed and established to provide for the advancement of amateur basketball in the Yampa Valley from introductory programs for elementary school aged boys and girls to competitive programs for middle and high school aged boys and girls to recreational programs for men and women. Under the direction of its volunteer board of directors, coordinators, and coaches
, HAB will organize, coordinate, promote and supervise amateur basketball competition and skills development camps for all age groups and skill levels. HAB’s goals are to improve basketball skills, enable players to compete at a high skill level, develop players’ self-confidence and self-esteem, promote sportsmanship, encourage academic achievement, and teach the value of teamwork all while developing outstanding individuals who contribute positively to our community and society. It is HAB’s longer-term vision that its programs will be expanded to serve the basketball communities of the Western Slope of Colorado.
