Get Fit Family Racing

Get Fit Family Racing Focuses on family & creating fun races for all ages and abilities to foster a healthy lifestyle. Own Heather took part and was hooked!

Get Fit Family Racing, owned by 5x Ironman Champion, Steamboat resident and mother of three, Heather Gollnick along with her husband Todd, serves athletes of all ages and abilities, enabling them to achieve their fitness goals in a stimulating, supportive and sociable environment. We are focused on the family and having fun while participating in and fostering a healthy lifestyle throughout the co

mmunity of Steamboat Springs. Originally attending Valparaiso University on a Gymnastics Scholarship, Heather graduated in 1992 with a Degree in Corporate Fitness. She would take a job with General Electric working in their Corporate Fitness Center. Members of the GE Fitness Team were organizing a Triathlon as part of a Fitness Challenge. A very successful Age-Group Career included National and World Championship Titles in both Duathlon and Triathlon. Heather would go on to marry her high-school sweetheart Todd, and together they have three beautiful children, twins Josh and Jordan (16) and Zachary (13). Heather would turn Pro in Triathlon in 2002 – competing in her hometown at the Inaugural Ironman Wisconsin. She took the field by surprise and ran her way to Ironman Championship #1. Heather has gone on to win a total of 5 Ironman Championship Titles over her storied career, 2 70.3 Titles and has won over 200 multisport events over her storied career. Heather is an accomplished Motivational Speaker and Co-Author of Triathlete EQ, her new book focusing on the Mental side of sport. Todd is a former high school educator, coach and advisor. He has been instrumental in the creation of several successful multisport events and race series throughout the country over the past six years. Together, Heather and Todd are thrilled to bring their passion for health, fitness and family to the community of Steamboat Springs.

“I grew up in Steamboat and recognize the special environment and focus on family that is represented here. It’s why I was so excited to move my family back and raise our three children in such a wonderful atmosphere”
