BookTrails: Reading and writing enrichment through outdoor exploration! BookTrails is an organization that promotes a love of literacy in all people.

Our programs aim to create a new way to experience the joys of reading and writing. BookTrails allows our students to experience and feel as though they are the main character in the favorite story—whether it is building a survival shelter, running through a stream bed, or sketching in a meadow. By focusing on the use of reading and writing to teach environmental principals, our students are given

a unique perspective to view both literature and the natural world. BookTrails offers a memorable summer learning experience with our Reading on Ranches Camp. BookTrails hosts several week-long summer programs, focused on a common environmental theme matched with a book. Children spend the week in the outdoors while enriching their reading and writing skills during summer vacation. Our students also learn about the importance of local ranching and agriculture while exploring pristine and beautiful landscape. BookTrails also offers programming during the school year. Our after school programs provide students with an opportunity to improve their reading and writing skills through fun, innovative activities. We also offer one-on-one tutoring sessions at a very affordable cost.

Lend us a hand at the Reading Ranch on Sunday, May 31 from 1–5pm as we get camp ready for another summer of stories, adventure, and kids!
We’ll be tackling outdoor projects, sprucing up camp spaces, and preparing the Ranch for hundreds of children this summer. Bring work gloves, a water bottle, and a smile — we’d love to have you join us for an afternoon in the mountains.
