Boruch Dayan Haemet 🕯️

It is with sadness that we share the passing of Daniel Katz, beloved father of our dear friend and community member Maia Stone, and grandfather of Jasper and Amalia.

Our hearts are with Maia, Jamie, and their family during this difficult time.

Maia will be sitting shiva on Sunday from 3:00–6:00 PM, with a gathering for prayer, reflection, and remembrance at 5:30 PM. Please reach out for the address.

Your presence would be a source of comfort and support.

May Daniel’s memory be for a blessing, and may his family be comforted among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.

The past few days have been so special 💛

We’ve had the incredible opportunity to deliver handmade shmurah matzah to so many of our local friends, helping bring a piece of Passover right to their homes. There’s something truly meaningful about sharing this tradition and being able to connect with each person along the way.

Grateful for every visit, every conversation, and every chance to spread a little more warmth and mitzvah in our community.

What an incredible Grand Opening this Sunday! 🎉

Thank you to all our friends who showed up, shared in our excitement, and sent such meaningful messages of support. It truly meant so much to us.

We are beyond excited to officially have a Jewish center here in Steamboat, right at the base of the resort. This is just the beginning! We can’t wait to roll out regular classes, programs, services, and so much more.

We’re working as quickly as we can to transform this space into your Jewish Basecamp, a place where every Jew, whether local or visiting, feels welcome, connected, and at home.

Join us for a special creative afternoon for children ages 3–12 as we get ready for Passover together! Kids will explore the story and traditions of the holiday through hands-on learning while designing their own beautiful alcohol ink Seder plates to use at their Seder.

Along the way we’ll learn about the meaning of Passover, enjoy light refreshments, and celebrate in a fun, welcoming environment that blends Jewish learning with artistic expression.

One week ago our community rode into “Purim in the Wild West" for a fantastic evening together.

It was a wonderful night for all ages, with crafts, Western food, an open bar, Megillah reading, and more! 🌵✨

We feel so lucky to be part of such a special community, and we can’t believe this was already our third Purim celebrating together in this wonderful place. 💜
