For monument Monday we visit the historic Cheyenne Depot Plaza. This plaza takes you back in time as it tells the story of the development of Cheyenne and how it became such an important city in Wyoming. In addition to the visitor’s center, you can find many of Cheyenne’s famous Bog Boots. Start your hunt there to find them all. They have all been hand painted by local artists to depict the history of both Cheyenne and Wyoming.

Try the audio tour of the big boots by calling (307) 316-0067. For each, enter the stop number, followed by the # key (i.e. 1 #, 2 # - 19 #). Listen to the artists reflect on their own contributions to this project. Thank you to Visit Cheyenne for the great information.

We were on a quest to find the two Punjabi Indian Restaurants along I-80 that we had read so much about; to see just how good they are. Our first stop was in Burns, Wyoming. Just remember, if you reach Nebraska, you’ve gone too far 😄.

This place doesn’t have a sign except the word “restaurant” written on the Antelope Truck Stop. Just ring the bell when you arrive and one of their friendly staff will take your order. We ordered the chicken curry platter which took about 10 minutes. It had a very good flavor and came with a lot of great sides to enjoy with it. We give it an overall rate of 7 out of 10. Watch for our next stop in upcoming posts.
