• July 3: Artist Chula Beauregard and friends discuss the inspiration and creative process behind her current exhibition at the Steamboat Springs History Museum, Legacy: A Year with the Colorado Cattlemen’s Agricultural Land Trust.
• July 10: Where the Buffalo Roam: The Western Colorado Bison Project by H. “Sonny” Shelton, Archaeologist and Faunal Analysis Specialist with the Dominquez Archaeological Research Group.
• July 17: Local authors Mayling Simpson and Paul Hebert share stories from their new book, Drawn to the Mountain: Mid-Century Migrants to Steamboat Springs, highlighting individuals who came to Steamboat during the 1960s and ‘70s.
• July 24: Longtime local rancher Jerry Schalnus joins friend Matt Tredway to reflect on memories of range life in the Yampa Valley.
• July 31: Local P.E.O. Chapter. Founded in 1869, the Philanthropic Educational Organization (P.E.O.) has long supported women through education and service. Learn about notable local women from the chapter’s past and how today’s members are continuing the legacy.
• Aug. 7: Mountain bike pioneer Kent Eriksen reflects on his decades in Steamboat Springs, recent changes, and his influential role in the biking industry.
• Aug. 14: Foundations of Steamboat: Celebrating 25 Years. Explore our early pioneers and the enduring legacy of Steamboat Springs’ foundational families with Steamboat Springs History Museum Curator Katie Adams and descendants of pioneering families.
• Aug. 21: Longtime local Tom Sharp shares stories and memories of friends, events, and trends from his past 54 years in Steamboat Springs.
• Aug. 28: Tales from the Old Junior High. Cheri Daschle looks back on the historic school building, its dedicated educators, and life in Steamboat Springs during the 1950s and ‘60s.
