Overcoming addiction is one of the hardest journeys a person can face—and no one should have to walk it alone. At Travis House and Love Life, we believe recovery is possible for everyone, no matter where you begin.

It often starts with a brave moment: admitting that substances have taken hold.
Then comes the deeper work—asking, How do I heal what’s underneath?

Recovery means facing the pain you couldn’t name, the memories you pushed down, and the parts of yourself you thought were beyond repair. Anyone walking this road knows how heavy that work can feel… and how freeing it becomes.

My journey with Love Life began at a Travis House Men’s Sober Living golf tournament fundraiser. I was volunteering, and Chynna was there with a small table selling hats to raise money for a women’s sober living home. We started talking, and her passion for helping others find recovery moved me deeply. I’ve seen too many people I care about struggle with addiction and watched the ripple effect of pain it brings, not just to them, but to everyone around them. I knew I wanted to help.
