I can’t even wait to make an official post… I’m just too excited! 🙌🏾

Less than a month ago, we decided to put together an Amazon list for Sole Searching—to help collect school supplies for kids in Jamaica. Honestly, at first we didn’t get any responses and I even said, “I don’t think this is going to happen.” But God had other plans! 🙏🏾

Friends from Church of The Straits heard what we were doing and reached out. My good friends at the Mackinaw bakery answered the call. And Sister Chris from Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church—she always delivers! 💛

we’ll be sending school supplies and soccer gear to Jamaica 🇯🇲.

This is a reminder that everything happens in God’s timing. When it’s His plan, it always comes together. ❤️✝️

✨ Why I Started Sole Searching for Jamaican School Kids ✨

Sole Searching began with a simple mission—to help kids back home in Jamaica. What started as a shoe drive has now grown into something bigger.

Many children don’t just need shoes—they also need basic school supplies to learn and soccer gear to play, build teamwork, and dream big. 📚⚽

That’s why Sole Searching is now focused on providing:
✏️ School supplies (notebooks, pencils, backpacks, etc.)
⚽ Soccer gear (balls, cleats, shin guards, uniforms)

For years, you stood with us through our shoe drives — and together we put smiles on the faces of children in Jamaica. We’ve counted hundreds of pairs, packed barrels, and shared hope with kids who needed it most. 🌍✨

But as time goes on, getting enough physical help to run these drives has become harder. The mission, however, is far from over. 💪

So we’ve found a new way forward — taking it online! 🎉📦

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! 🦃

This time of the year we like to take a moment to really cherish all the things that we are thankful for. For us, it's all of our heroes out there that make our program so successful! We can't thank you enough!!

Another successful goal was met with our food donation part of the program this year. We gathered enough food to donate 30 bags of groceries to families in need. With the global pandemic still happening, it is difficult for some families to get the basic needs, and we are so thankful to be able to help those who need us the most.

With the pandemic, there are so many families with parents that are out of work, and kids that are home all day due to the schools being closed. So it is especially hard for some families to have an income and be able to afford food during these times.

For these difficult times we are focusing on food barrels to send to Jamaica for those who can't afford the basic food items. As always we accept any donations but are especially in need of: rice, flour, sugar, mac and cheese, oil, sardines, tuna, pasta, beans, rame noodles, peanut butter, jelly and any other dry goods!
