To those among the McNab community, who want to know, listen and learn!

There has been a lot of unfounded hearsay surrounding the registers that were developed to help conserve the breed. There is a naysayer among us who doesn’t understand the mission for which these two registries were founded.
Please let me begin by saying that these registrars were developed to help house the lineage (Pedigree), supported by the DNA for the breed and to use science to help prevent genetic anomalies from occurring in the breed going forward. Is that too hard to wrap your head around!
Secondly, I want to express how hurtful this has been to the volunteers for these non-profit organizations who have spent countless hours of their own time, without pay to help with conserving the breed, only a handful of people trying to uphold these registries. Naysayers are quick to point fingers and condemn, but no one wants to volunteer to help with the many tasks needed to run these organizations Instead they have taken up frivolous lawsuits against each other bringing into the fold the very people who have been trying to just preserve the breed, and yes, there are many areas that need to be addressed in regards to Ethical breeding practices and upholding By-laws. Like any organization these organizations have had their growing pains and have been working endlessly to correct any glitches within the organization’s structure.
So, let’s do the right thing and if you have an issue, please contact the registrars and send in your concerns, instead of using a public social media platform to smear them.
Thirdly, let’s remember why these organizations were started in the first place! To help preserve the breed we all admire. It’s all about the McNab dog!!

Holly, the matriarch to our McNab stockdog breeding program passed away peacefully at age 16 1/2 yrs . Holly was my confidant, my body guard, my working partner! A once in a life time privilege to be owned by such an amazing McNab!💖She is sorely missed beyond measure!
