Vote YES for EMS in November
Declaring EMS an Essential Service is about protecting the future of emergency medical care for every resident of Hardin County.
When you call 911 for a medical emergency, you expect highly trained EMTs and paramedics to respond quickly—regardless of where you live or what time of day it is. As call volumes continue to increase and recruiting and retaining EMS professionals becomes more challenging, maintaining that level of service requires a stable, long-term funding strategy.
A vote to declare EMS an Essential Service does not change how our EMS professionals care for patients—it helps ensure they can continue to be there when you need them.
By recognizing EMS as an Essential Service, Hardin County can establish a sustainable funding model that helps:
🚑 Maintain reliable 24/7 emergency medical response throughout the county.
👨⚕️ Recruit and retain qualified EMTs and paramedics.
🏥 Replace aging equipment and ambulances when needed.
📈 Prepare for growing community needs while reducing the risk of service cuts.
❤️ Ensure every community—large and small—has access to dependable emergency medical care for generations to come.
This is an investment in public safety, just as we have long recognized police, fire, and 911 communications as essential public services.
Strong EMS means stronger communities.
This November, vote "YES" to declare EMS an Essential Service in Hardin County and help secure the future of emergency medical care for everyone.
