It's time for DUCK PLUCK! Support the Staunton Rotary Club with our local projects by adopting a DUCK for $10. At 4:00 PM on the 4th of July, 1,500 ducks will be dumped into Lake Tams at Happy Birthday America, and 3 will be drawn to win cash prizes. All proceeds support our local community projects!

Our Club Day could've been called "Mark Thomas Day," as our intrepid Rotarian not only gave a nice presentation on the just-completed Rotary Pavilion project at Staunton High School, but also he was presented with Paul Harris Fellow recognition from the Club in thanks for all his work over the last year(s) on the Pavilion project. Congratulations, Mark! We will miss you your Rotarian energy as he goes on teaching fellowships in Australia and the UK for the next several months.

Staunton Rotary Club members and friends participated on the "Save the Bay" day (May 2) in helping to clean up the creek in front of Bessie Weller Elementary and continuing along Greenville Ave. We've been working on this project for 3-4 years, and while the volume of trash MIGHT be declining, we are still surprised at what shows up! A big thank you to all who participated!

The Staunton Rotary Club is pleased to support the Verona Community Center with a grant to help fund their Pathways to Stability initiative, providing help and assistance in the under-served in our community. The Center provides a gathering space for all, with computer use, meals, shower and laundry facilities available for those in need. www.Veronacommunitycenter.org
