The Augusta Home Builders Association provides builders, remodelers and associate members with assistance for their needs in the Augusta, Staunton and Waynesboro area. The association also provides valuable information for the building industry and a forum to share views on such issues as building codes, industry trends and more. We are members of both the National Association of Home Builders (NA

HB) and the Home Builders Association of Virginia (HBAV). The National Association of Home Builders is a non-profit trade association whose primary goal is to keep housing as a top national priority. Founded in 1942, NAHB is organized as a federation of more than 850 state and local home builders associations nationwide. The membership represents a wide diversity of industry-related professions, including builders, remodelers, subcontractors, manufacturers, suppliers, and much more. The Home Builders Association of Virginia represents the home building industry on the state level. It is present at each General Assembly Session representing the home building industries needs.

Golf Committee - Chairman Tommy Shields, Jr.
This committee is responsible for our annual golf tournament which includes organization of tournament, sponsorships, and door prizes.

Public Relations/Programs Committee –Chair Hannah Shields Wood
Public Relations and Programs Committees work together to coordinate our monthly meeting guest speakers and programs for the year. They are tasked to come up with new and interesting topics for the membership meetings.

Building and Public Affairs Committee – Chair, Scott Williams
This committee has been established to be AHBA’s advocate with the local governments and boards. This committee will meet or speak with local governments on behalf of our Association or its members when help is needed with a project or to advocate for certain causes. One key project that this committee will advocate for on a continual basis is one that focuses on efforts that can help keep our building and lot costs in line.

Membership Committee - Chair Nathan Trice
This committee is tasked with reaching those in the building trades and sharing the benefits of belonging to AHBA. We encourage all of our members to be aware of opportunities to invite prospects to our meetings and growing our association to a level we feel is attainable and sustainable. We are looking for dedicated advocates for AHBA/NAHB/HBAV.
