Newer growers this picture shows how you should be maintaining your main vine from this point to the weigh off any old not productive leaves should be removed down your main vine also. Note how the main almost looks like it is floating. That’s because the dirt has been removed from underneath the vine between the leaf nodes be sure not to damage your roots under the leaf nodes. Lastly 91 percent alcohol or Oxidate should be sprayed on the mains every few days and always check for rot. Sorry to get long winded but there is a lot to tell our younger growers.
