We were absolutely blessed by the incredible generosity of the Young Life Leaders that traveled from Cincinnati to help at the Young Life camp in Rockbridge! 💙
They didn't just stop by to say hello—they pulled up with a van completely packed with blankets and essential items for our shelter.
This unexpected blessing means the world to our organization. A warm blanket provides much more than just physical comfort. It shows our residents that people truly care about them. Thank you Conner, Brayden and Sam!

A massive, thank you to Cora Palmeri from Maryland. As a member of the non-profit Breathe 379 in Edgewood, MD, Cora poured her love into handcrafting beautiful blankets, bags, and stuffed animals for our residents. Her kindness is a continued blessing to our community.
Just last year, Cora also gifted our residents with gorgeous handmade prayer shawls. Her lifelong spirit of service truly shines through her work.
After dedicating many years as a missionary in Central America alongside her husband, Mike, she continues to share her boundless love and compassion with those who need it most.
We are grateful for her giving spirit. Please join us in thanking Cora for her beautiful heart!

A huge thank you to the amazing JMU nursing students for brightening up our shelter! 🌟
We had a wonderful day as they provided blood pressure checks, a helpful hand-washing presentation, and soothing hand and foot care. Most importantly, they took the time to build beautiful relationships with our residents.
Thank you for your incredible kindness and compassion. We wish you the absolute best of luck after graduation! 🎓💛💜

A huge thank you to Mair with WHSV for taking the time to share Stephanie’s incredible journey. 💙 Homelessness looks different for everyone, and behind every story is a unique struggle, immense courage, and unwavering determination.

For Stephanie, taking that first step to come into our shelter was no doubt one of the hardest decisions she’s ever made—but it was also the most powerful. With the guidance, resources, and support available at Valley Mission, she worked tirelessly to transition into permanent housing. Her story is a testament to the strength it takes to rebuild and embrace new beginnings.

We are so proud of Stephanie and all that she has accomplished. As she continues to navigate life in a new light, we wish her nothing but success and happiness. 🌟

To anyone out there who may be struggling: know that help is here, and hope is possible. It takes time, but you are never alone.

Looking for a Simple Way to Make a Big Impact?

Our shelter is in urgent need of Paper Towels and Clorox Wipes—two essential items that help us maintain a clean and safe environment for everyone.

From wiping down tables and shared spaces to keeping our bathrooms, dorms, dining hall, and kitchen stocked, these supplies are used daily to ensure hygiene and comfort for our residents.

Right now, our stock is running critically low, and we could use your help! If you're able to donate, your contribution will go a long way in supporting our efforts to keep the shelter clean and welcoming.

Drop off your donations today and make a difference in your community!

Thank you for your generosity and support!
