Come share a meal with us and see the work we do for our community.
Here's what to know:
Lunch served: 12:00–1:30 PM
Facility tours: available before and after lunch
Full event hours: 11 AM–3 PM
Location: 1513 W Beverley St, Staunton, VA 24401
No sign-up needed, and there's nothing to bring but yourself. Just stop in, grab a bite, and take a tour if you'd like.
It's a wonderful chance to learn who we are and how we serve. We'd love to walk you through it and say hello.

Come join us for lunch!

We're so glad to welcome our community back for lunch and facility tours this Thursday, from 11 AM to 3 PM.

If the weather cooperates, we'll be gathered outside together, with
an optional tour of our facility, so you can see the work we do and gain an understanding of how we serve our community.

No need to sign up or bring anything but yourself. Just stop in, grab a quick bite to eat, and take a tour if you please.

If you're curious about who we are and how we serve, we'd love to walk you through it.

Update, this need has been met!

‼️One more student needs our help getting him ready for the new school year‼️
Thanks to this wonderful community, he’s already set on school supplies and his book bag. Now we just need to complete his back-to-school wardrobe. 💙
Here’s what he still needs, he’s heading into 4th grade.

*Men’s large shirts
*Large sweats
*Large athletic shorts
*Jeans, size 32x30
*Shoes, size 9½

🎒 We need your help getting four kids ready for back to school!
Right now, we have four children at the shelter who need clothing and shoes for the new school year. If you can donate any of the items below, you’ll make a real difference for these families.
Here’s exactly what each child needs:
👦 Boy #1 (size 7/8)
Light jacket or hoodie
Pants, size 7/8 (no jeans please — shorts or active/sweat pants)
Shoes, youth size 1
Socks
👦 Boy #2 (size 18 kids / XL)
Short sleeve shirts
Hoodie
Sweatpants or sport shorts, size 14/16 or 18 (no jeans please)
Boxers, kids size XXL
Shoes, boys size 6
👧 Girl #1 (size 14/16)
Shirts, shorts, leggings, long sleeves (no jeans please)
Shoes, size 11C
👧 Girl #2 (size 10/12)
Shirts, shorts, leggings, long sleeves (no jeans please)
Shoes, youth size 1

*we have one high schooler in particular that would like a northface bookbag or jansport (can be gently used, prefer no stains or tears)

A heartfelt thank you to the incredible donors who helped get our kids here ready for the school year. 💙
Because of your generosity, our kids are prepared and confident with supplies. We don't take that lightly, and neither do the families you've supported.

We're only lacking a few things:

Dividers
Calculators
Pocket folders (both boy and girl)
Headphones
Index cards
Sticky notes

That's what our meal volunteers bring to Valley Mission every single month. We can't thank them enough.
Once a month, on those early Saturday mornings, Dean and his dedicated crew rolls in with big hearts and even bigger smiles. They cook. They serve. They share a moment with our residents. And it means the world.

If you love working with people and take pride in great service, we'd love to hear from you. This role is a wonderful fit for someone who's dependable, friendly, and comfortable juggling a busy register with a smile.
