💜A huge thank you to Kewaunee International Group for their continued support of My Sister’s House!

A special team of volunteers spent the day cleaning and beautifying our facility, including the children’s playground, helping create a safe and welcoming space for the families we serve. 🛝✨

They have also generously donated brand-new industrial washers and dryers, a tremendous blessing for our ministry. We are so grateful for this partnership and the many ways Kewaunee continues to support our mission. Thank you for making a difference! đź’ś

🇺🇸 Help Support Our Veterans! 🇺🇸

Bryony Goforth, a Life Scout, is raising funds to build privacy fencing around the veteran tiny home community at Fifth Street Ministries in Statesville.

This fence is about more than privacy—it will help create a sense of safety and security for our veterans. Unfortunately, people often cut through or enter the property, which can be triggering for some residents who struggle with PTSD. The fence will help establish clear boundaries and provide a more peaceful environment for those who have served our country.

The project begins on June 29th, and we still have a long way to go to reach our fundraising goal. Every donation helps, and if you’re unable to give, sharing this post and the donation link would mean so much.

Thank you for helping us support our veterans. ❤️🇺🇸

Sometimes the most powerful stories are not told through statistics or reports, but through the honest reflections of those who have walked the journey themselves.
Today, we are honored to share a deeply personal and introspective poem written by someone whose life has been touched by Fifth Street Ministries. Through thoughtful words and heartfelt reflection, this poem offers a glimpse into the challenges, hopes, struggles, and resilience that are often unseen by the broader community.
At Fifth Street Ministries, we believe every person has a story worth hearing and a future worth investing in. We are grateful for the courage it takes to share experiences that inspire understanding, compassion, and hope.
As you watch and listen to this recitation, we invite you to reflect on the power of community and the difference that support can make in someone's life. If this message speaks to you, please consider making a financial gift to help Fifth Street Ministries continue providing shelter, meals, outreach, housing support, and pathways toward stability for our neighbors in need.
Your generosity helps create opportunities for transformation, one life and one story at a time.

🚨 Community Need Alert 🚨

We’re putting out an all-call to our community! Our PATH House Street Outreach Team is in urgent need of insect repellents to help protect both our outreach staff and the unsheltered individuals we serve.

Donations of insect repellent sprays or wipes containing DEET, picaridin, or oil of lemon eucalyptus would be greatly appreciated and make a tremendous impact on our outreach efforts.

Many of our neighbors experiencing homelessness are living in wooded areas and are facing increased exposure to mosquitoes and ticks. Access to insect repellent is a simple but effective way to reduce bites and help prevent vector-borne illnesses.

If you feel led to help, please drop off donations at:

📍 Fifth Street Ministries Main Office
1421 Fifth Street
Statesville, NC 28677

Please note on your donation that it is for the PATH House Street Outreach Program.

Thank you for helping us care for and protect some of our community’s most vulnerable neighbors. ❤️

When we see a wooded encampment, it's easy to focus on the circumstances. It's more important to see the people.

Each person experiencing homelessness is someone's child, parent, sibling, friend, or neighbor. Many of our neighbors in Iredell County are facing challenges that have left them without stable housing, but they have not lost their worth, their dignity, or their potential.

Through Fifth Street Ministries' PATH Street Outreach Program, our team meets people where they are - building trust, providing essential resources, and helping connect individuals to shelter, healthcare, housing opportunities, and hope for a better future.

You can be part of that hope.

A financial gift to Fifth Street Ministries helps ensure that outreach workers can continue reaching our most vulnerable neighbors with compassion, practical support, and pathways toward lasting stability.

Together, we can replace isolation with connection and hardship with hope.

Some gifts do more than fix a problem—they create new possibilities.

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to I & R Waterproofing, Inc. I&R Waterproofing Inc. for their incredible generosity and expertise. When moisture and mold issues threatened one of our basement spaces, their team stepped in and donated the labor, materials, and professional knowledge needed to address the problem the right way.

Thanks to their work, the mold was remediated, moisture concerns were addressed, and the space has been protected for the future. But the impact goes beyond walls and waterproofing.

Because of this investment, we can now begin reimagining how this basement space might be used to further the mission of Fifth Street Ministries and strengthen our umbrella of services for the community. What was once a space limited by ongoing concerns can now become a space filled with opportunity.

At Fifth Street Ministries, every improvement to our campus creates more potential to empower people in crisis to rebuild stability and achieve self-sufficiency. We are deeply grateful to community partners like I & R Waterproofing who see not only the need in front of them, but the possibilities that can grow from it.

Thank you for helping us build a stronger foundation—both literally and figuratively—for the work ahead.
