It is with heavy hearts that the family of Robert Lewis Waters II, known to all of us as Bob, shares the news of his passing. Following a long and hard-fought struggle with his health, Bob passed away on Sunday, March 8th, 2026, at the age of 78.
Born in Sylva, NC, on September 15, 1947, Bob’s life was defined by his unwavering devotion to his family and a deep love for his country. Above all else, his world revolved around his wife, Barbara, and his son, Rob. A proud patriot and Vietnam Veteran, he carried his military dedication into his community, serving as the Commander of the Honor Guard and former 2nd Vice Commander at American Legion Post 65. He also valued his brotherhood as a Past Master of Masonic Lodge 690. In his quiet moments, Bob could be found reading a book or behind a lens pursuing his passion for waterfall and flower photography.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara, his son, Rob, and his daughter-in-law, Laura. He will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
We invite friends and family to join us in honoring his life on Saturday, March 21st
