The Downtown Statesboro Development Authority was created in 1981. On April 15, 1991, Statesboro was declared a Main Street City, by the National Trust for Historic Preservation, a movement built on the knowledge that a prosperous, sustainable community is only as healthy as its core.

When neighbors and businesses come together around a common goal, they can be unstoppable.
