We have now reached Day 30 of the Contending for the Altar Consecration, and we give God thanks for His sustaining grace that has brought us this far.
Our prayer is that each of you has remained steadfast in a posture of prayer even in the days where strength was low, discipline was tested, or consistency felt difficult to maintain. Even in moments where you may not have had the words, we believe God still met you in your tears, your groanings, and even your silence. For the Word declares, Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses; for we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered (Romans 8:26).
We encourage you in this hour: do not abandon the altar. Do not step away from the place of prayer. Pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17). Let prayer remain your dwelling place and not merely a discipline you visit. Some days it will be warfare, other days it will be weeping, and other days it will be stillness before God but all of it is communion with the Father.
Even in weakness, do not withdraw. Continue to press in. I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service (Romans 12:1). Consecration is not about perfection; it is about sustained surrender.
We are believing together that as we contend for the altar through prayer and consecrated living, God is making us vessels ready for His use. That through our lives, souls will be drawn into the Kingdom, the broken will be healed, the bound will be delivered, and the revelation of Jesus Christ will be made known in the earth. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much (James 5:16).
And Jesus Himself reminds us that men ought always to pray, and not faint (Luke 18:1). So we press forward not in our own strength, but in His grace. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need (Hebrews 4:16).
We are grateful for you, we are praying for you, and we are standing with you. May your altar remain burning, may your fire never go out, and may prayer become not just what you do but the place where you live.
