BACKYARD FAMILY CAMPOUT - More Information Coming Soon!

When: April 25, 2020 | 9am - 8pm - Tentative

Where: Online with Zoom or on Facebook Live

Activities:
Dutch Oven Cooking | Tune in for a Dutch Oven demonstration! Gather the materials and ingredients you’ll need and get ready for a tasty treat for the whole family!?
Knots | Need practice on tying your Square knot or taut line? We will have a Troop leading your Scouts through an educational and fun session to brush up on your skills.
Rockets | 3…2…1…Get ready for a blast! This session we will be building bottle rockets and seeing how far they fly.
Skits | This is a repeat after me song! What Scout doesn’t love a great time by the campfire, learning and participating in skits and songs? Join us for a live stream to learn new skits and songs.
Pitch a Tent | Every great campout needs some shelter. Pitch your tents with us and get ready to sleep under the stars! Don’t have a good place to pitch a tent? No problem! Show us your best fort building skills with blankets and sheets!
What you need:
Tent + a good surface
Blankets, sheets and some creativity

Good news! We are extending the deadline for our Virtual Campsite Competition to Monday, April 27th, so that families participating in GEORGIA'S BACKYARD FAMILY CAMPOUT on Saturday, April 25th may take their photos on Saturday. So don't forget to join Scouting families from across Georgia LIVE on Facebook on Saturday, April 25th for GEORGIA'S BACKYARD FAMILY CAMPOUT and be sure to take a photo of your 'campsite' and post it here on the Coastal Georgia Council's page to be entered in our VIRTUAL CAMPSITE COMPETITION! Georgia's biggest campout will be happening right in your own backyard. Get excited for April 25th! This event is open to ALL families.
