Children's Literacy Society

Children's Literacy Society The Childrens Literacy Society was founded by Lucille Belyayev and Sofia Diggs in 2009. CLS's top priority is investing in our children's futures.

The founders purpose behind CLS' creation was to provide educational opportunities for children in need. The purpose behind CLS' creation was to provide supplemental resources/access for Staten Island/New York City public school children in need to experience educational exposure and experiences they might not otherwise have. CLS sees educational needs/opportunities to help children in the communi

ty and meets the need or makes opportunities happen. CLS provides a variety of supplemental educational tools/experiences for Staten Island/New York City public school children. Some of the initiatives that CLS has sponsored so far focused on reading, writing, sports, music, art, dance, and nutrition. By partnering with local schools and organizations we continue to “Give a Child a Chance”. If you are a local organization, business, or school in the NYC school area and are looking to work with CLS, please contact us at [email protected]
