Universal Friends Of Dhamma. Initially this was created as a ladies forum affiliated to the Staten island, New York Buddhist Vihara under the guidance of Bhante Heenbunne Kondanna.

"Universal friends of dhamma" is a religious community based, volunteer forum affiliated with the Buddhist Vihara in Staten Island New York under the guidance of Bhante Kondanna. This forum is dedicated to develop friendship and inspire others who believe in the teaching of Buddha. The primary goal of this forum is to strengthen up the building fund for a spacious temple which has become an absolute necessity for years to ever growing Sri Lankan Community in Staten Island. In fact, its our pleasure to see the growing population from other faiths that are attracted towards our Vihara for meditation classes, dhamma discussions and counselling based on Buddhist teachings. We were able to organize "Poson Poya Pinkama" within a very short period of time and happy for its success, also would like to thank all those who supported and participated. We anticipate organizing more events towards achiving our primary goal. Its very important to team up a creative, excited yet spiritually motivated group of individuals. Our committee meeting will be held at Staten Island Buddhist Vihara at 115 John St. on every last Saturday of the month at 6.00pm.You may communicate with any of our current members for further information via social media. This open invitation is to all of you who believe in this mission. Theruwansarani!
