SSK is having an amazing month so far! We started the month by delivering 100 meals to homebound seniors on Easter Sunday with the help of members and volunteers along with their families. It is a great opportunity to teach our children that giving back to those less fortunate is a beautiful thing. This past Sunday we hosted over 400 people for our annual Mangia Madness event at Monsignor Farrell in memory of our brother, Alex Inserra. This event was all Alex's idea, but God had a higher calling for him. Tom Beyar saw fit to make sure his dream became a reality and nearly 15 years ago, Tommy started this incredibly blessed and successful event with the support of the entire SSK family. To this day it is always sold out and the funds raised support the charities that Alex loves the most.

Today, Borough President Vito Fossella joined the South Shore Kiwanis and Port Richmond Strong at Fort Wadsworth to support Blue Star Families and help stock the pantry with food, toiletries, and everyday essentials for our military families.

A special thanks to all of our drop-off locations who helped make this possible: Joyce’s Tavern, La Fontana, O’Neill’s, Duffy’s, and Doc Hennigan’s.

Our servicemen and women should always be a top priority. Staten Island stands with our troops.

Our club is continuing the tradition of delivering nutritious meals to homebound seniors during holidays that Meals on Wheels of Staten Island, Inc. is justifiably closed for. This tradition extends over 25 years and we need your help to keep it alive! We are delivering meals on Easter morning from Beyar's Market on Victory Blvd starting at 9am. It takes 1-2 hours at most, and provides immeasurable satisfaction and a potential teaching moment for our children and youth.
