We are honored to have such a New York institution as supporter of our mission.
🍬 A New Chapter for Philips Candy 🍬
For over 110 years, Philips Candy has been more than just a candy store it’s been a place where memories were made.
From its roots in Coney Island dating back to 1916, through wars, recessions, and even global pandemics, Philips Candy stood the test of time. After being forced to leave its original location, it found a new home right here in Staten Island where it has continued serving families for nearly 25 years.
Through it all, John Dorman created not just candy… but moments that generations will never forget.
Today, I’m honored to share that I will be carrying on that tradition at:
📍 8 Barrett Ave, Staten Island
This is deeply personal for me.
My late mother grew up in Coney Island and would tell me stories of being served her favorite sweets by a young John Dorman. Years later, she brought my daughter Madison who has since passed to their new counter here in Staten Island, where those memories continued.
This isn’t just a business to me.
It’s legacy. It’s family. It’s home.
To honor that legacy, we will be donating 10% of all profits to
The Madison Rochelle Alfano Foundation — supporting free safe driving program for our Staten Island community.
We are proud to continue working with the same talented team who crafted these treats alongside John for decades keeping the tradition alive exactly as it should be.
We can’t wait to welcome you in, serve you, and continue spreading the joy that only Philips Candy can bring 🍫🍎
Same tradition. New chapter.
