Hi Everyone;

A very Happy St. Patricks Day to all.

Just a reminder, this coming Sunday at 1400 is the District 4 Annual Memorial Service. This beautiful service is where we honor all departed members throughout the past year that have crossed the bar. SISPS lost four members in the past year.

Please make every effort to join us. A reception will be held after the service.

We will meet at St. Albans Episcopal Church behind Perkins Restuarant. The church is located behind Amboy Road in Eltingville.

if you can donate a small food item like finger sandwichs, it would be greatly appreciated.

Also our Annual Change of Watch is quickly approaching. it will be held April 5th at 7:30 pm at the Crystal Room. Please come and join us for this fun night.

Winter Skin Care Tips

Moisturize more, Moisturizers don’t actually add moisture to the skin, they seal in existing water so it doesn’t evaporate. Moisturize two or three times a day.

Give your hands a hand: The skin on your hands in thinner than on most parts of body and has fewer oil glands. This means that its harder to keep your hands moist, especially in cold, dry weather. This can lead t itchiness and cracking. Wear gloves when you go outside.

Ban Super Hot Baths: The intense heat of a hot shower or bath actually breaks down the lipid barriers in the skin, which can lead to a loss of moisture. Use warm water when you cleanse your face and limit yourself to one short warm shower or bath a day. Close the bathroom door while you bathe to keep the room humid. (Lipids are a group of naturally occurring molecules).

Pat, Don’t Rub your face Dry: rinse your face with tepid water, then pat it dry with a cotton towel. Don’t dry it all they- leave some moisture for your moisturizer to lock in.

Lips: Your lips need a shield to stay in shape. A balm provides a buffer between your delicate skin and the weather .Never let your lips go unprotected.

Please DON’T forget our four legged Friends. Keep them well protected in the winter. Make sure they are getting enough water to drink, Keep their paws clean from salt other chemicals that are put on our roads. Keep them warm and safe.

Keep safe and warm.
