Today marks the very 1st day of Early Voting in New York. Before you head out, visit nycvotes.org to find your correct polling site and check your hours.

True democracy requires constant vigilance. We must champion laws like The Voting Rights Act of 1965 and The John R. Lewis Voting Rights Act of New York, which work to protect voting access. At the same time, it is important to be informed about proposed legislation that could impact the voting process. Don't just vote, protect the process. Learn about becoming a poll worker today and helping to ensure our elections remain accessible.

📢❤️ SIAC Proudly Represents at Delta Days at City Hall! ❤️📢

The Staten Island Alumnae Chapter participated in the 4th Annual New York Metro Coordinating Council (NYMCC) Delta Days at City Hall (DDCH), an impactful day of advocacy, engagement, and action on behalf of our communities.

A special shoutout to SIAC’s very own Soror Michelle Akyempong, who spearheaded this important initiative in her role as New York State Metro Social Action Chair. Through her leadership, dedication, and commitment to social action, Delta women from across the New York Metro area came together to amplify our collective voice and advocate for issues that matter most to the communities we serve.

As members of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., we remain steadfast in our commitment to advocacy, civic engagement, and social justice. We are grateful for Soror Michelle’s vision and leadership in making this year’s Delta Days at City Hall a success.

Together, we continue to educate, advocate, and inspire change.

Last Thursday, we hosted our 5th Annual Women Who Create Artist Showcase under the theme Uncensored Voices.

It was a beautiful evening spent celebrating, uplifting, and honoring the arts within the Staten Island community while supporting our local creatives.

We hope to have you be part of it next year, whether as an attendee, artist, performer, vendor, or creative!
