SSG Michael Ollis VFW Post #9587 Oakwood Heights VFW 9587 has been in existence for over 75yrs. Michael was a Life Member of Oakwood Heights VFW Post.

On December 2, 2013 the post changed its name to honor a fallen member who was killed in Afghanistan Oakwood Heights VFW #9587 was granted permission to change it's name to SSG Michael Ollis VFW #9587 on December 2,2013. Michael who served with 2nd Battalion, 22nd Infantry, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division (Light) was killed in action on August 28th 2013. The re dedication of the post

to Michael will be on June 7th 2014. God bless our "Hometown Hero" and our "Gold Star" parents, Bob and Linda Ollis.
