Troop 85 Staten Island Pack and Troop 85, proudly representing St. Sylvester Church in Staten Island, N.Y. The Scouts of today are the leaders of tomorrow! TROOP 85 is back at ST.

SYLVESTER’S CHURCH after 8 year hiatus. The last Pastor was not in favor of the Boy Scouts and after 50 plus years of Scouting at St. Sylvester’s Church, we were asked to leave our community. Many Scouts moved to neighboring Troops and established themselves in a new community. The new Pastor at St. Sylvester’s Church, Father Jacob, heard about all the good things Troop 85 did for the Church and i

ts community and requested for it to start up again. A small request has been heard loud and clear across Staten Island. Within a short period of time the word got out. Past scout members from the last five decades of Troop 85 existence have started to come back as volunteers. Many now have kids of their own and are coming back for either the Cub Scout or Boy Scout experience with Troop 85.
