Alpha Beta Pi Omega Chapter is excited to officially join the Little Free Library community as we continue advancing the new administration’s commitment to Championing Service. Empowering Sisterhood. Transforming the World.

In support of Educational Support & Advocacy, we are creating opportunities to inspire literacy, lifelong learning, and a love of reading right here in our community!

Through a special collaboration with YouthBuild IMPACT, young people used their skills and talents to build our beautiful Little Free Library AND a community reading bench. 🔨📖 Chapter members then came together in sisterhood and service to paint and add those special finishing touches, making this truly a project built with love, purpose, and community! 💕💚

And now… our library is officially chartered and mapped! 📍🎉

After careful consideration of the anticipated storm and forecasted weather conditions for this weekend, Alpha Beta Pi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, in partnership with Integration Charter Schools (ICS), has made the decision to postpone the Black Girl Magic Conference to Saturday, November 21st.

This decision was made with the safety and well-being of our youth participants, families, facilitators, partners, Sisters, staff, volunteers, and everyone traveling to and from the event as our highest priority.

📅 Please save the new date: Saturday, November 21, 2026.

We sincerely appreciate your understanding, patience, and continued support as we make this transition. While we are disappointed that we cannot gather this weekend, Black Girl Magic is not canceled—the magic is simply moving to a new date!

We look forward to welcoming everyone in November for an incredible day of empowerment, inspiration, sisterhood, learning, and celebration.

What a wonderful day of service and community at the Staten Island Black Heritage Family Day & Festival at historic Tappen Park!

The ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® – Alpha Beta Pi Omega Chapter were proud to connect with community members, share information about the importance of voter registration and civic participation and encourage everyone to make their voices heard.

We also enjoyed sharing information about our upcoming programs and connecting individuals and families with helpful community resources.

Members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® – Alpha Beta Pi Omega Chapter were proud to join our friends of the Jack and Jill of America, Inc. – Staten Island Chapter for their 2nd Annual Sickle Cell Awareness Walk & Blood Drive at Midland Beach.

It was a meaningful day of service, sisterhood, community, and purpose as we came together to raise awareness about sickle cell disease and support an important cause that impacts so many families.
